SAFEGuard is a new newsletter for people with disability who use the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Written by the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission, the newsletter explains what the commission and others are doing to make sure the support people receive is of good quality.
The Commission regulates all NDIS providers across Australia. If you access services through the NDIS, the Commission is there to support you, particularly if you feel unsafe or unhappy with the quality of your NDIS support.
The first newsletter covers a range of topics, including how to make a complaint to the NDIS Commission, new resources available for First Nations people, and what COVID-19 support is available.
The newsletter is available in Easy Read, Auslan, and other languages so that the information is readily available.
SAFEGuard will be sent to registered providers, advocates for people with disability, members of the Disability Sector Consultative Committee, and subscribers. If you'd like to sign up for the quarterly newsletter please go to the NDIS Commission website and search for SAFEGuard Newsletter.
