Self care for health workers

Health Workers may feel extra stress in response to the unprecedented circumstances our communities are experiencing. It’s important to remember that such feelings are normal and not a sign of weakness.

Here are some practical self-care steps you can implement now:

  • get enough rest during work hours and between shifts, eat healthy foods and stay hydrated
  • engage in regular physical activity
  • stay connected to your support network
  • be aware of where you can access support for yourself when needed.

Do not go to work if you have these symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough, sore throat or fatigue
  • Shortness of breath
