Flourish Australia, is proud to share the news that our Chief Executive Officer, Mark Orr, received a Member of the order of Australia, for his significant service to community health.This is one of Australia’s highest orders of merit.
A long-standing champion for the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV, and people in LGBTI communities, Mark has been involved in HIV and LGBTI advocacy for decades, and has played a key role in helping deliver a range of important health and rights outcomes. Mark is an active volunteer for many organisations that serve LGBTI communities and people living with HIV, where he has applied and utilised his leadership skills, governance and health expertise.
In addition to his many community roles, Mark professionally, is dedicated to the betterment of people with a mental health issue, and supporting people with their mental health recovery to live a contributing life. Mark’s passion and drive for this, positively influences all at Flourish Australia, to strive for a more inclusive community which is free from stigma and discrimination.
